Lucas International

United States · United Kingdom · European Union

Lucas International is a private-client concierge with two mandates: source a vehicle, or move one you already own. Take both and the car is chosen with its route, its duty position and its paperwork already settled.

  • Buyer-side only, on both service lines
  • Customs, compliance and marine cover on one file
  • One point of contact, brief to driveway

Two mandates, taken singly or together

Sourcing and shipping are usually sold by different people, and the seam between them is where cross-border purchases come apart. We hold both, so the firm that found the car is accountable for it arriving.

  • Vehicle sourcing — the car you cannot find

We take a written brief, then work the open trade and the cars that never reach an advertisement. You get an independent inspection commissioned by us, a negotiation run to a ceiling you set, and a written account of the cars we rejected. We hold no stock and take nothing from the seller, so nothing on our end depends on you buying.

    How sourcing works
  • Vehicle shipping — the car you cannot move

We design the route, hold space on a named sailing, prepare the export and import filings, and place marine cover at an agreed value. You get the method chosen against the car — RoRo, shared container, sole-use container or enclosed road — a dated photographic record at collection and at loading, and a licensed customs broker instructed on your file. The filing deadlines, not the sailing date, set the timetable.

Included

In every logistics engagement

Not an options list. Direction-specific detail sits on USA to UK and UK to USA.

  • Independent inspection

A marque specialist we appoint, reporting to you in full including the unfavourable.

  • Documents assembled and checked

Bill of lading, title and the destination declarations, complete before the vessel cut-off.

  • Agreed-value marine cover

Placed through a regulated broker, valued at inception rather than after a loss.

  • Delivery and registration support

Covered transport to the address you give us, then support through registration.

The sequence

Four stages

The full sequence, with who is accountable at each stage, sits on how it works.

  1. Brief

The specification, the budget and its currency, the destination, and any date that cannot move.

  2. Search or route design

Cars found and rejections reported, or the port pair, the method and the compliance route settled.

  3. Execute

Inspection, negotiation and purchase on one side; export formalities, loading and cover on the other.

  4. Deliver

Entry filed, duty settled, the car delivered, and support through registration.

Enquiry

Tell us what you need

Four fields: the car or the specification, where it is and where it is going, your timing, and how to reach you. Under a minute, and enough for us to say whether this is work we should take.

The car, the route, the deadline — whatever you have. A sentence is enough to start.

Replies normally within one working day.

Next step

Start with the car, or start with the specification

If the vehicle is already identified, send the details and we will tell you what moving it involves. If it is not, send the specification and we will tell you what finding it takes. Either way, eligibility and landed cost are settled as purchase decisions rather than shipping problems.
